The WASP Board grants funding for 14 industrial PhD student projects and 7 industrial postdoc projects. In addition, 15 affiliated PhD students are admitted to the WASP Graduate School. 

The results from 2024 year’s calls for Industrial PhD projects, Industrial Postdocs positions and Affiliated PhD students have now been announced.  

Industrial PhD students and postdocs 

The calls for WASP Industrial PhD student projects and WASP Industrial postdoc positions were open between June 10 and October 1, 2024.  

The industrial postdoc initiative was launched in 2023 to promote mobility between academia and industry, and to offer additional alternatives of how to do a postdoc. This was the second call in WASP for industrial postdoc positions.  

In total, 14 industrial PhD projects and 7 industrial postdoc positions were approved. 

Next year’s calls for WASP Industrial PhD student projects and WASP Industrial postdoc positions will be open between June 9 and October 1, 2025.

Affiliated PhD students 

The call for affiliated PhD student positions is an opportunity for PhD students not funded by WASP to be part of the WASP Graduate School and all its opportunities. 15 applications were approved by the WASP Board. The affiliated PhD students will be enrolled in Class 2025 of the WASP Graduate School.   

Dates for next year’s call for affiliated PhD students are yet to be decided.
