WASP and WASP-HS launch new cross-disciplinary AI webinar series

WASP and WASP-HS are launching Food for Thought, a new monthly lunch webinar series that brings together researchers from across the two programmes to discuss current AI-related topics from both technical and human perspectives.

The first webinar, AI and its effect on Discourse and Democracy, explores how training data, model design, and evaluation methods influence AI-generated content, and what is meant by “bias” in AI.

Joining the panel are Emelie Karlsson, WASP-HS PhD student in political science at Uppsala University, Igor Ryazanov, WASP-HS PhD student in computer science at Umeå University, and Moa Johansson, WASP Faculty member and Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology.

Amy Loutfi, WASP Program Director, and Fredrik Heintz, WASP Co-director for collaborations, will lead the conversation.

The webinar is open to everyone interested in AI and society. Join us on Zoom on October 5, 12.00-13.00.
