40 new Fellows of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) were elected on December 7. Among them are Pontus de Laval, Chairman of WASP and Bo Wahlberg, Professor and long-time member of the WASP management.

Pontus de Laval is elected to IVA’s Education and Research Policy Division. Bo Wahlberg is elected to IVA’s Electrical Engineering Division.

In a press release from IVA, its Chair Marcus Wallenberg and President Tuula Teeri, jointly states:

“The combined experience and skills of the new Fellows will be an important addition to the Academy, further strengthening and broadening IVA’s competences in key issues for the future, such as artificial intelligence and sustainable development.”
