We are happy to introduce Salla Franzén, one of our great speakers to present at WING Day, September 20.

Salla Franzén is the D&A Domain manager for the Customer domain in IKEA Retail (Ingka Digital), focusing on improving the customer experience for the many customers and coworkers. Previously she was the Group Chief Data Scientist for SEB Group.

In her talk at WING Day, she will look at similarities and differences in creating value with data, analytics and AI between a furniture company and a bank:

“As a PhD student in mathematics I very much enjoyed the uniqueness of mathematics – it is applicable everywhere! Having worked in finance for 12 years and now in the furniture sector for a year, I can truly see that uniqueness bringing value, when combined with human thinking and data insights.“

Salla Franzén’s talk How to create value through AI in finance and furniture will take place in the afternoon session on September 20 at Louis de Geer Konsert & Kongress, Norrköping.

Last day to register for WING Day is September 4th.

About WING Day

WING Day – WASP Industry Networking Gathering, is part of the WASP Industry Days 2022 and is a forum where company representatives meet WASP’s researchers and doctoral students to identify common research issues and possible collaborations.

The focus of this conference is to facilitate meetings between WASP’s academic community and Swedish industry around the theme Augmenting Human Intelligence, exploring how autonomous systems, AI and software augment different aspects of human intelligence and capabilities – from the cognitive to the physical in mixed domains.
