WASP Recruited Faculty

Establishing new research groups by attracting excellent international researchers to Sweden.

WASP is dedicated to long-term strengthen the research in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and software in Sweden. The ambition of WASP is to recruit at least 80 researchers from abroad, an initiative covering both promising assistant professors and outstanding senior professors. They are offered attractive recruitment packages, including relevant infrastructure and funding for doctoral students and postdocs, for the best possible starting conditions.

The combination of unique talents with extensive knowledge from the international arena, and the existing professional network in WASP, has the potential to build up strong research environments in Sweden for years to come.

Recruitment Process

Recruitment has been executed in several different calls since 2017 and is still ongoing. So far, our open calls and active search has resulted in the following recruitments:

  • Wallenberg Chairs in AI
  • Wallenberg Guest Professors
  • Autonomous Systems and Software Senior Professors
  • AI-MLX Assistant Professors
  • AI-Math Assistant Professors
  • Cyber Security Assistant Professors
