PhD student position in Data Representation and Machine Learning over Networks at Chalmers.
Information about the position at data science and AI division
The data science and AI division at the Computer Science and Engineering department is recruiting 1 PhD student position within the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP).
The primary purpose of this position is to conduct a research on the challenges and solution for machine learning over networks with abundant examples from internet-based AI to next-generation mobile communication networks and ML in medical disciplines. We are interested in gaining a deeper insight into the performance of ML techniques under limitations on data generation and communication in networks and developing state-of-the art techniques to achieve the best performance in various scenarios involving such networks. The resulting principles of this research will be examined in the relevant areas of application.
This is a two-stage call. In the first phase, projects were applied for and evaluated. Approved projects then continued to this, the second phase, where each university opens calls for PhD positions.
