PhD student position in Automatic Control at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University.
Your work assignments
The control-oriented research at Linköping University concerns different topics such as sensor fusion, learning methods for control, and optimization. We are currently looking for a PhD student to work on a project within the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP).
The aim of the project is to research techniques for joint sensing, localization, and communication in autonomous underwater systems. Your task will be to conduct basic and applied research on signal processing, sensor fusion, and machine learning methods that can support the development of these joint sensing, localization, and communication techniques. The project specification is broad, and you can steer the research towards the research questions you find most interesting within this area. An important part of your research work will be to design and carry out experiments together with project partners Saab Dynamics and FOI Swedish Defense Research Agency.
