PhD student position in the WASP NEST project AIR². The position is formally based the Department of Computer and Information Science at Linköping University.

Your work assignments

As a doctoral student, you devote most of your time to doctoral studies and the research projects of which you are part. Your work may also include teaching or other departmental duties, up to a maximum of 20% of full-time.

You will carry out research supervised by Jendrik Seipp, Associate Professor in Artificial Intelligence at Linköping University.

The research for the advertised position will be within the WASP NEST project ”AI for Attack Identification, Response and Recovery (AIR²)”, where we use AI to enhance cybersecurity. The PhD project will focus on  the subtopic “Learning Interpretable Models for Identifying Attacks and Countermeasures”. Here, we will develop a network hardening loop that learns symbolic AI planning models from data, uses them to identify possible attacks, and modifies the network to prevent them from happening.

The project will involve both theoretical and experimental work.
