We hereby advertise a position as PhD student in computer graphics and machine learning, formally based at the Division of Media and Information Technology at the Department of Science and Technology at Campus Norrköping.

The position is part of the project __main__: Multi-dimensional Alignment and Integration of Physical and Virtual Worlds, funded by the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) through the NEST initiative. As a WASP NEST PhD student, you will take part in the WASP curriculum and benefit from its extensive network of other PhD students and senior researchers.

Your work assignments

This PhD position is focusing on image synthesis and deep learning. We will investigate methods for generation of synthetic data using new augmented reality (AR) techniques and novel neural rendering methods.

As a doctoral student, you devote most of your time to doctoral studies and the research projects of which you are part. Your work may also include teaching or other departmental duties, up to a maximum of 20% of full-time.
