Information about the project

This is a call for a PhD position in the Data Science and AI division at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology.

The PhD project will be focused on Active Learning for Deep Neural Network models. Deep learning models, despite great success in several applications such as computer vision and NLP, require a large amount of data for training. However, data annotation and labelling can be expensive in many practical situations. Active learning provides a set of principled solutions to obtain the most informative data labels with a minimal annotation/querying cost. In this project, we will study different research questions related to the theory and practice of active learning in particular with deep neural network models.
