WASP invites proposals for organizing a summer school for WASP PhD students within the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Systems, or Software. The aim is to offer high-quality training, promote collaboration, and inspire new research directions across WASP’s diverse community.
You may apply for funding to either organize a new WASP-unique summer school or to obtain WASP support for arranging an external summer school relevant to WASP research areas.
The summer school should be engaging and inclusive, combining lectures, hands-on activities, and opportunities for student interaction and networking. Because WASP PhD students come from many different disciplines, organizers are encouraged to design programs that are accessible and relevant across fields.
Who can apply:
The main applicant should be a WASP Faculty.
Funding:
Funding can cover venue and logistics, teaching materials, invited speakers, meals, and joint activities for WASP students. External non-WASP participants need to pay for their direct costs. Funding cannot be used for non-WASP participants, general research, or salaries.
Application should include:
- Title and proposed dates
- Organizers and affiliations
- Theme and motivation
- Tentative program
- Expected number of participants (min number of WASP PhD students is 10)
- Budget (total budget)
