Please create a trystack.org account now!
It might take a few days to process your account request. You will need it until you get the Ericsson Cloud accounts.
The tutorial can be downloaded here.
We strongly encourage you to already start working on the tutorial, so that next Friday we can help you with the more difficult parts of the tutorial and the assignment.
Once you have the trystack account you can already start working. Please note a few caveats on trystack:
- The first time, you log in using your Facebook account. To generate a password, please read “SETTING UP API ACCESS” on http://trystack.org.
- The authUrl is http://x86.trystack.org:5000/v2.0
- Your VMs will be destroyed after 24h.
Just to set expectations right, the tutorial is not meant to be done in “auto-pilot” mode. Simply copy-pasting the commands without understanding them will give you errors. Make sure you understand each step of the tutorial before proceeding to the next one.
The assignment can be downloaded here.
The assignment is meant to complement with practical insight the theoretical knowledge you will acquire in Umeå. To get a better understanding on how the theoretical knowledge fits together, please read the assignment before your arrival. The assignment is rather ambitious and to be completed in groups of 3-4.
Pre-reading is marked with a star (*).
